Thank you for using SplitEase. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

By using SplitEase, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

🔒 Data Collection

SplitEase does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

The app requires no registration and no account. You can use all features immediately after installation without providing any information about yourself.

We do not collect:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Device contacts or media
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers
Any financial information (entered bill amounts never leave your device)

📣 Third-Party Services – Google AdMob

SplitEase displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect certain device and usage information to serve relevant ads, including:

Advertising ID (resettable device identifier)
IP address and general location (country / region)
Device type, OS version, and language settings
Ad interaction data (views, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by SplitEase. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in your device settings under Privacy > Ads.

📱 Local Storage

SplitEase stores your split history locally on your device only. This data includes the bill amounts, tip percentages, and participant names you enter during a session. It is saved so you can review past splits at any time.

This data is never uploaded to any server and is only accessible on your device. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

SplitEase works fully offline. An internet connection is only used to load AdMob advertisements; all core functionality is available without connectivity.

👤 Children's Privacy

SplitEase is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app itself collects no personal data at all, it presents minimal privacy risk for users of any age.

Parents and guardians should be aware that Google AdMob may collect the device identifiers described in the section above. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details on how they handle data from younger users.
